Very tasty food and, despite Corona, a pleasant atmosphere and friendly, courteous service. I'm looking forward to the next trip.

We had reserved a table for Sunday noon and then sat right in front of the open door on the train. The menu is very clear. A Sunday meal (goulash, roulade, game or similar) is not included here. The schnitzel was burnt, fried potatoes, vegetables ... all the rest comes from the freezer. There is also a burger with all the ingredients that Kaufland provides for a burger. Beer only comes from Altenburg, a matter of taste. The waitresses were overwhelmed. nobody comes to the table in between. Nobody wants to know whether it tastes good. They surely know their cook (if there is one). All in all, not a recommendation. There are definitely better restaurants in town.

Unfortunately not good🥴 Rostbrätel half through, fried potatoes out of the bag and not homemade. That after 1/2 hour of waiting. Only beer from ABG. There is a lot of room for improvement. However, service is very good.

Service was okay but not more. The wine was too warm, when I asked for some ice cream the answer was "we didn't have it". Unfortunately, 0.1l by the glass was not available, although the glasses had the necessary calibration. A shame for every driver. The tarte flambée was good, but priced at € 12.90 very proud. Delicious home-style food in a rustic atmosphere on the beautiful and worth seeing castle. Very nice staff and fair prices.

We were there for the first time today. In short, it was sheer disappointment. Red wine from white wine glasses. The waitress justified this by stating that they had no red wine glasses. The water and the red wine were ordered in the bottle, but the bottles were placed on the table unopened, the food is rather expensive for the service offered. By the way, Corana wasn't an obstacle to opening the bottles. We ate better in other restaurants here in Freyburg, so we don't give a recommendation for this restaurant. The wines and brandies from the immediate area, 50m to 5km away, are unfortunately not available. Pity!

Originally we wanted to go to Little Red Riding Hood, because we then had to spend some time, we wanted to visit the Castle Museum, but it was closed from 12pm to 1pm. So we went to the castle restaurant for lunch. In the sunshine we were on the front terrace. A friendly employee in ancient costume took great care of us and served a delicious meal without a long wait. We had (translated) the schnitzel and the bratwurst and the salad as a starter. Really delicious, especially the dressing on the salad. Price / performance ratio completely okay, I can only recommend it.

We had lunch in the restaurant today and we were sadly disappointed. The menu does not quite meet what you would expect in such a rustic setting. That would of course not be a problem, but the quality of the food was also very poor. The schnitzel hardly tasted like one ... in general the dishes made a deep-frozen impression. The cautious and very diplomatic criticism was noted by a rather annoyed waitress, but nothing more. No apology, no promise of passing on criticism, let alone any kind of concession. Unfortunately, the other employees were also rather stressed and annoyed, with the restaurant being occupied by a maximum of 40%. The portion size is also less likely to leave a grown man full. All in all, a very disappointing visit. Unfortunately we won't be back. It's a shame about the great location!

Food was very good. Drinks too. We saw the dog outside. Price-performance ratio was good. The young man who served was very friendly and it was very chic that he was dressed a bit old-fashioned 👍

Food and drink all wonderful. Served by friendly and funny staff. But that only one person or a table from the many guests is allowed to visit the locations (corona rules) is not possible

Was very good. Landlord is always up for a joke. Food tastes very good. Reasonable prices.

A nice ambience nice service. You can sit inside and outside. The home-baked cake is highly recommended. Also to eat a knight you can take part where much is offered.

Very nice location with a wonderful terrace. Invites you to linger. Service friendly, food very good home cooking. Price performance is right. Fresh cuisine and all our extra requests were met. Happy again!
